3: I took both the card base in vanilla
and the pattern cardstock and cut out a circle in both pieces using my Darice
Embossing Essentials Circle Die set and my Cuttlebug.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;">
<!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; font-size: 11pt;">·<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: 7pt; font-stretch: normal;">
</span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step
4: I adhered the pattern cardstock onto the vanilla card base using a glue
stick.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;">
<!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; font-size: 11pt;">·<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: 7pt; font-stretch: normal;">
</span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step
5: I took a white ribbon and colored it using Lindy’s Flat Fabio spray in Caribbean
Blue. I tied the ribbon around the edge
of the card. I added a piece of white twine cord to create the bow.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;">
<!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; font-size: 11pt;">·<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: 7pt; font-stretch: normal;">
</span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step
6: Using a happy birthday stamp from Tim Holtz Simple Sayings stamp set, I
stamped the saying in versamark and used Recollections Embossing Powder in
Glacier.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;">
<!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; font-size: 11pt;">·<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: 7pt; font-stretch: normal;">
</span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step
7: I cut some strips of white cardstock to create the candles and cut out the
flame parts of the candles using the Celebrations cricut cartridge. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;">
<!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; font-size: 11pt;">·<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: 7pt; font-stretch: normal;">
</span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step
8: I took the candles and used a dot
background stamp and stamped each candle in versamark ink pad. I used Ranger White Embossing Powder and
covered the candles and embossed with my heat gun. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;">
<!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; font-size: 11pt;">·<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: 7pt; font-stretch: normal;">
</span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step
9: I colored each candle using a different colors distress stain by Tim
Holtz. The colors I used was Festive
Berries, Mowed Lawn, and Squeezed Lemonade.
I took the flames for each candle and used a glue stick and colored with
yellow glitter. I positioned the candles
on the inside of the card so they can be aligned with the circle cutout. I glued down using a glue stick.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;">
<!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; font-size: 11pt;">·<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: 7pt; font-stretch: normal;">
</span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step
10: I stamped the sayings on the inside of the card using Distress ink pad in
Broken China. The stamps I used are from
My Favorite Things birthday clear stamps.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;">
<!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; font-size: 11pt;">·<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: 7pt; font-stretch: normal;">
</span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step
11: I took some money and folded up and
used a paperclip to attach the money to the card. The money was used as the cake in the card
and was placed over the candles.</span></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;">

<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">This is my first attempt at participating in a craft blog contest. This is for Lindy's Stamp Gang June color challenge. Please find the link here, <a href="https://blog.lindystampgang.com/2016/06/01/june-color-challenge/?utm_source=JUNE+COLOR+CHALLENGE+NEWS&utm_campaign=JUNE+CHALLENGE&utm_medium=email">Color Challenge</a></span><br />

<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Please see the steps below:</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b><u><span style="font-size: 11pt;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Triangle Baby Theme Mixed Media
Wall Art<o:p></o:p></span></span></u></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-size: 11pt;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Step 1: I
took several pieces of pattern cardstocks in pink, yellow and blue colors. I tore up many pieces. I used mod podge and collaged the pieces of
cardstock all over the triangle box.<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-size: 11pt;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Step 2: Next
I took some stencils (stars, squares, circles, rectangles) and added designs
all over the box using modeling paste. <o:p></o:p></span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-size: 11pt;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Step 3: I
started to determine where I wanted to add all my embellishments. I used a bunch of different items. The theme I was going for was baby and
shapes. Most of the embellishments were
shapes such as triangle, square and circle die cuts. I also have buttons, wooden circles, square
chipboard pieces, metal square embellishments, etc. I glued everything in place with quickgrip and
e6000 glue.<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-size: 11pt;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Step 4: Once
everything was dry I sprayed with Lindy’s sprays (pink ladies pink, t-bird
turquoise, and summer lovin sun).<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

a paintbrush and added some t-bird turquoise lindys sprays to help the
embellishment blend with the rest of the design. I took a baby word die-cut and sprayed with
t-bird turquoise and pink ladies pink lindys sprays. Once dry I covered the entire die-cut with

I wanted to make her something since she has admired things I have created. She has loved unicorns ever since she was young. I created this mixed media canvas with tons of bright colors and a beautiful unicorn at the center of it all. The inspiration for this is from <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXTgnNXpd6M" style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt;">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXTgnNXpd6M</a> and her birds of a feather mixed media project.<br />
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step 1: I took a canvas
that was 8 ½” x 11”. I put a coat of
gesso over the canvas and let dry. I
took some cardstock pieces I ripped from the Prima Jodie Lee Fairy Better Collection
Aquarelle cardstock and used mod podge to apply to the canvas. Run your finer over each piece you glued down
to help with air bubbles. <b><u><o:p></o:p></u></b></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step 2: Apply a thin
layer of a gesso white wash to blend the pieces into the background. Set with a
heat tool.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step 3: Take gesso and
go around the edges of the pieces to help with the contrast. Take a baby wipe
and remove gesso that got onto the center of the pieces and reveal the cardstock
pattern.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step 4: Use whale watch
blue, tiffany blue, frozen jack frost and mix equal parts in a cup. Add in a mini mister. Take cosmopolitian pink
and spray some areas of the canvas and let the excess run down the canvas
vertically. Set with a heat gun. Take wild honeysuckle coral and spray and let
drip down the same way. Set with a heat gun.
Take sea grass green and spray a bit heavier and let drip horizontally
compared to the other colors that dripped vertically. Set with a heat gun.
Spray the mixture of blues and tip vertically quickly for a small drip and set
with a heat gun.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step 5: Take a crafters
workshop 6x6 mini ledger, chicken wire stencil, and a polka dot stencil and
apply to areas of the canvas using texture paste. Clean the stencil in-between
each use and set each area with a heat gun.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step 6: Take some Prima
flowers solid flower vine in yellow and cover in gesso, apply a few coats. Spray with frozen jack frost lindy's spray.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step 7: Take some
chipboard circles and tags and apply gesso around the edges. I used chipboard pieces from Leaky Shed
Studio assorted chipboard tags. Take
some pattern cardstock from Prima Jodie Lee Fairy Better Collection Aquarelle
and apply it to the chipboard pieces with mod podge. Do not put a top layer of mod podge. Fussy
cut them out of the cardstock. Sand the edges.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step 8: Take some
cardstock from the Recollections Rainbow Pixels cardstock and fussy cut some
honeycombs out. Adhere these to chipboard using mod podge. Do not put a top
layer of mod podge. Fussy cut them from the chipboard. Sand the edges.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step 9: Cut a clock with
the Tim Holtz weathered clock die cut and cover with a few coats of gesso.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step 10: Take some
Recollections Floral Embellishments white roses, paper flowers pink/blue garden
romance, Prima flowers kindled sienna roses, and white fabric roses bouquet and
cover with gesso.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step 11: Take some metal
pieces (junkyard findings vintage trinkets, large paperclip, grapevine designs domino
pieces, nuts and bolts, single stories DIY clothespins, finnabair vintage
trinket metal flowers, junkyard findings heart gears, tim holtz metal ink pen
nibs, junkyard findings clock hands, tim holtz locket keys, finnabair vintage
trinkets bottle cap), and cover with
gesso.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step 12: Take a Martha
Stewart adhesive die cut large doily and cover with gesso. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step 13 : Start creating
the canvas and determining the placement. When applying your pieces and to make
them level add pieces of chipboard behind pieces to prop them up. Puddy in the cracks with texture paste. Use a
glue gun, glossy accents and e6000 for gluing your pieces. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step 14: Once everything
is applied add some texture paste into the cracks and spaces around the
edges. Add a bit to some of the
embellishments.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step 15: Go over with a
few more layers of gesso to the embellishments.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step 16: Spray a layer
of cosmopolitan pink. Heat set. Spray with wild honeysuckle coral. Heat set. Spray with sea grass green. Heat
set. Spray with the blue mixture. Spray
with the silver. Spray with luscious
lime. Heat set. Keep applying with the colors from earlier
until you get what you like. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step 17: Take three
Leaky Shed Studio Chipboard shapes unicorn medium and take some tacky glue and
glue the three pieces together. Once dry
color the unicorn using perfect pearls in blue raspberry, sour apple, pink gumball
and grape fizz. Adhere to the canvas using e6000. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step 18: Take Unique

My best friend Courtney was pregnant with her first child, Grayson. I made this new baby card for her baby shower. It was so much fun. The games were fun and kept everyone entertained and interacting. I loved the backdrop she had for pictures. It was a scene from the Disney movie, Bambi.<br />
<br />
The design of the card was inspired by a pin I saw on Pinterest. Pin from Stampin Up, http://lvstmpn.wordpress.com.<br />
<br />
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;">
<!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; font-size: 11pt;">·<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt; font-stretch: normal;">
</span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step 1: Take light gray cardstock
and measure for the size o</span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">f your card.
This card is 6” x 4 ½”. I cut my
cardstock to 6” x 9” and folded in half and creased.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;">
<!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; font-size: 11pt;">·<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt; font-stretch: normal;">
</span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step 2: I took white
cardstock and cut to 5 ¾” x 4 ¼”. I took
a distress marker in pumice stone and created the frame by making dash stitch
marks. I glued the piece to the card using a glue stick.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;">
<!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; font-size: 11pt;">·<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt; font-stretch: normal;">
</span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step 3: I took some
yellow pattern cardstock from the Recollections Fashionably Chic paper pack and
cut to 3” x 4 ¼”. I took the Martha
Stewart scallop dot punch and punched the edges. I adhered in the center of the card using a
glue stick. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;">
<!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; font-size: 11pt;">·<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt; font-stretch: normal;">
</span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step 4: I took some
green pattern cardstock from the Recollections Fashionably Chic paper pack and
I cut the pattern cardstock to 2” x 4 ¼”.
I took the distress marker in pumice stone and created the dash
stitching marks around the frame of the cardstock. I adhered on top of the
yellow pattern cardstock and centered. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;">
<!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; font-size: 11pt;">·<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt; font-stretch: normal;">
</span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step 5: I took some blue
pattern cardstock from the Recollections Fashionably Chic paper pack and cut
two squares using my Cricut machine and the accent essentials cartridge that is
2” on all sides. I cut 2 squares out of white cardstock as well. I glued the
white squares onto the blue squares using a glue stick. I took the pumice stone
distress marker and added dash stitches to the frame of the cardstock pieces.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;">
<!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; font-size: 11pt;">·<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt; font-stretch: normal;">
</span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step 6: I created the
lion and the hippo using the Stampology Mindys Zoo 2 stamp set. For the lion the colors inks I used was
Staz-on ink pad in jet black for the outline.
The lion was done in Colorbox ink in sunflower and ochre. The hippo was created using Staz-on ink jet
black for the outline. The hippo is
Staz-on ink in dove gray and distress ink in Spun Sugar. I fussy cut the images
out using my small detail scissors. I
adhered the animals to the squares with dimensional dots.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;">
<!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; font-size: 11pt;">·<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt; font-stretch: normal;">
</span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step 7: I stamped the
saying “hello” and “new baby” in Staz-on ink dove gray. The “hello” stamp is from Technique Tuesday
Say It Happy Stamp set and the word “new baby” is from the Lawn Fawn A Birdie
Told Me stamp set. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;">
<!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; font-size: 11pt;">·<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt; font-stretch: normal;">
</span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step 8: I added some
rhinestones which are Queen & Co. in baby blue and light green. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;">
<!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; font-size: 11pt;">·<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 7pt; font-stretch: normal;">
</span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step 9: For the inside

We worked together and thought of doing an album. We thought of the quotes together. This was my first ever album like this and it came out amazing. I am so proud at what I accomplished in 24 hours. I used the videos below for inspiration.<br />

</span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">Step 2: Using the accent essentials Cricut cartridge I cut out
some accents on tan cardstock. I rubbed
some gold gelatos over the accents. I
adhered to the canvas with mod podge.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 40.5pt; mso-list: l2 level1 lfo3; tab-stops: list 40.5pt; text-indent: -22.5pt; vertical-align: middle;">

This Christmas I made a mixed media canvas for my friend Kat. I knew I wanted to do something with Hello Kitty. I also knew the color scheme I wanted. I did not have any Hello Kitty embellishments so I searched online for a background and printed it out. I cut out the kitty face from the background. I distressed the edges with distress ink pads (worn lipstick, broken china) and a purple colorbox chalk ink. I used some glitter glue pens to write her name on the background.<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I took a canvas and some texture paste and added some stencils for the background. I searched around my craft room and found many cat embellishments and grabbed tons of different flowers I had. I also added some metal embellishments including a personal touch. The heart in the bottom center is from a locket of mine that i colored with alcohol inks. The other metal embellishments as well was covered with alcohol inks. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I glued everything down with either tacky glue, e6000 or a hot glue gun. I sprayed the canvas with Lindy's sprays. I used delphinium turquoise, cockle bells coral, hibiscus rose, magnolia magenta gold, witch's potion purple and scintillating silver. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Even though this picture was not of the completed project, I did adhere the background to the center of the canvas with mod podge. I really loved how the project came out and I loved the color scheme. I want to make myself a similar canvas with my own name. </div>

This is my first attempt ever at blogging. I am not very tech savvy and do not know anything about the blogging world. I just starting reading and subscribing to blogs because of my hobby of crafting. I am not a great speaker and am definitely not good at writing. However, I have a vivid imagination and wild thoughts and am never afraid to speak my mind. Most of the time I don't think before I speak. I love crafting and am very creative. I started my crafting life with scrapbooking. I have always loved photography and taking pictures. I started scrapbooking so I could display my pictures in a more creative way. Once I started scrapbooking I got into other crafts such as creating home decor and cards. The past year I have really turned the page and have become more interested in mixed media. This blog is going to be mostly used for displaying my crafts and taking a look at my crafting journey. Hopefully you will stick along and enjoy what I have to show you. </span>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15259688032038550556noreply@blogger.com0Marlborough, MA 01752, USA42.347372 -71.53678642.2534855 -71.6981475 42.4412585 -71.375424500000008
